PixEdit drives Ricoh, IBM or Bell&Howell
Scanners
No TWAIN driver needed.
The Ricoh IS410, IBM 2456 and the Bell & Howell 4000 are using the same
dialog box. PixEdit automatically detects the type of installed scanner,
and enables/disables various options depending on scanner model. If the
scanner contains hardware image compression, PixEdit will automatically
use compressed transfer.
Scanning options As with all supported scanners in PixEdit, the image is
displayed as the data arrives from the scanner and is directly available
for editing and/or cleanup as soon as the scanning process is completed.
PixEdit supports storage to multi-page formats, as well as full duplex
scanning even when the scanner itself only supports simplex mode.
Below: Options available before a Ricoh,
IBM or Bell&Howell scan session.
