Ronny Anderassen, Norway

You can read more about Ronny further down on this page, but let's first have a look at his most recent work done spring 2001. Ronny is having a 'back to basic' period, and is right now concentrating on single beam holograms. Below is a couple of images of his recent work: ( wear sunglasses please - they don't come brighter than this..)

Below is Ronnys setup:

Left: The plate. Right: Ronnys diode

Simple and basic setup, but how does he manage to get the resulting hologram as bright as shown? Well, let's hope that he will reveal some of his secrets soon! Stay tuned..

Ronnys comments below:

Holographic material: PFG-03M plate
Laser: 27mW at 658nm

Laser WarmUp time = None

Preparing the plate:
#1 Hardening 4min.
#2 Preswelling in 2,5% TEA for appr. 2min.
#3 Dry in min. 1 hour

Exposure:
approximately 25X Agfa-time

Affter exposure:
Develope in GP-2 for 20 min (with normala ggitation)
Stop: 1/2 min
Fix: 2-3min
Wash in 10-15 min
Water with Photo Flo in max. 1min
Squeegee
Dry in normal room temp.

If you'r impatient:
Examine the plate when it's still wet (when fixing or washing). Illuminate the hologram from behind with a halogen spot. If you can see a bright rainbow -coloured image you have made a beautifull hologram. Wash with Photo Flo and squeegee: please be patient when it's Air-drying. Now you have the most beautifull singlebeam reflection holograme ver...Good Luck ♪♫

Some history:

Some years back, after having created my fist table and purchased a 15mW HeNe laser, I was still worried about mixing and creating the needed chemicals. When I ordered my fist batch of 8e75, the salesman at Agfa Norway told me about another person in Norway that used to purchase film. His name was Ronny Andreassen and lived in Hønefoss, a city about 200km from where I live. I called Ronny, and he was so helpful - He mixed some chemicals, jumped in the car, and came to my rescue. Since then, Ronny and me have had many nice holography sessions together. Helpful as always, Ronny is a great resource for the holographic community.
